Game crashes when starting (no splash image) - After Nvidia Driver update that released on May 26, 2026 (not 100% sure this is the cause)

As the title says, I updated my Nvidia drivers (RTX 4050 Laptop GPU) to the version that released on May 26. After this, I tried to launch the game and it failed (no splash image and a Unity window briefly appears before everything closes). I have not played in a few weeks so I cannot be 100% sure that it was because of this. Here are the things I tried: 

1. Validating steam files - Process ended correctly but the error persists

2. Renaming the player preferences (yaml file) - Process ended correctly but the error persists

3. Reinstalling Nvidia driver - Process ended correctly but the error persists

4. Changing to the Beta branch for the aquatic pack - Process ended correctly but the error persists

5. Reverting to main, stable branch - Process ended correctly but the error persists

I am attaching the player.log file and the crash dump, in case it helps. 

Will try to revert to previous driver and update in case that helps.

im facing the same issue, without having the beta of aquatic on. :/ 

i also deleted all mycloud files saves included to make sure it wasnt because of a mod or damaged file but i still cannot open the game. 

I uninstalled and installed the game after all as well.

Thank you @Ancilia... glad it worked.. I did a fresh install of the drivers (which resets the settings) and it also got fixed. It seems there is one feature that is causing the game to crash on load. 

Now, I just need to find some free time to 'dive' into the game :)
