duplicants not consuming oxygen

have duplicants go through oxygen mask checkpoint to put on mask. now disable or destroy the checkpoint. allow masks to remain on until empty. you will notice that the duplicants with empty masks on behave as if they have no mask but are no longer shown to be consumers in your stats while duplicants without masks remain.
