When rolling up dupes at the beginning of a new game I renamed one of the dupes "PhD Ellie" since I was going to have her as my primary researcher. I ended up rerolling that slot and picking a different duplicant. When my game reached cycle 3 and the first set of dupes appeared in the printer, PhD Ellie was one of the choices, name change and all.
