critters getting stuck in environment

Non-vole critters are falling into solid tiles and cannot retrieve them without digging them out. I do not know what triggers it but I speculate that when I'm trying to relocate/wrangle them and my duplicant decides to go to bed, they run off, allowing the critter to fall (through and into) tiles.

I do not know exactly how it happens.  I believe it happens when trying to wrangle.

This always happens after wrangling. I believe what occurs is that the game despawns the "unwrangled critter" and respawn the "wrangled critter" to the left of the Duplicant. If there is a tile there, the critter spawns inside it. This is especially irritating in the case of Neutronium because the critters die quickly due to the core temperature of -272 C, making them virtually unsalvageable even with a mod that allows Neutronium to be dug out. But even generally, if you dig out the tile, the "unwrangled critter" reswapn again, and you can wrangle it anew. It has happened very often, but I did not care because it was just a minor annoyance. However, the fact that this happens with Neutronium, where the only possible solution is to reload the save, is particularly frustrating.
