I was building my lura plant farm but have no mimikas and all other flying critters would be too much of a pain to use, so gnits were the obvious answer. I built it with lots of automation so the gints were well feed (with hatches) laid eggs and when enough eggs and larvae were present so the population wouldn't go extinct I released some to be eaten by the lura plants, however it seems gnit larvae are not counted by critter counters unlike both adult gnits and gnit egg messing with the count; I am unaware of that happening to any other critter except for morbs.
Additionally I made sure the rles or less, turned off all mods and made sure the sensor was working with other critters, all to no avail.
Place a gnit larva in a room with a critter sensor.
