Cannot click on an options from start screen, can't play

Although previously working, I can't start the game. Clicking on any of the options in the welcome screen makes a sound but doesn't activate any of the buttons. I'm on Windows 10 21H2

Steps to Reproduce

1. Open game

2. Try to click on an option when start screen appears

3. Suffer.

Do you have a controller connected to your PC? It looks like a drifting stick might be sending inputs to the game causing it to flicker between the two control modes.
