bon bon tree planted and growing on a wood tile

I know that bon bon trees can be planted in snow tiles as part of a meteor event but this time I noticed that a bon bon appears to be planted in a wood tile.  Also the height was only 2 tiles so that pant would not grow property.  I included a game save but the panting occurred in a much earlier cycle.  I had the 2 tile entry way at the time that the tree was planted.  However none of the mesh tiles that are now above the tree existed at the time of planting.
