black screen with sound after starting the game

Searching from the log above the following: Failed setting thread niceness (priority) to 0 due to EACCES (errno 13) violation on the internet, I came across this discussion on Steam.

Specifically this comment talking about explicitly setting the screen width and height in "Launch Options" on Steam, fixed my issue.

The launch options: -screen-fullscreen 1 -screen-width 1920 -screen-height 1080

Game boots correctly now with display and sound.

(Developers: seems like "<pref name="Screenmanager Resolution Use Native" type="int">1</pref>" might be a more sensible default value in "$HOME/.config/unity3d/Klei/Oxygen Not Included/prefs")
