Since the latest pre-patch for the space update, I've been getting some severe artifacting on a few different actions, as well as in the background. The permanent background artifacting tends to show up after 10-15 minutes of play-time and only goes away on game restart. It can make dupes and buildings invisible, which makes playing the game and managing dupes somewhat difficult. This ONLY shows up in ONI. I got a completely different form of artifacting during the last patch as well, but it was really minor and seemed like it could potentially be my PC, but now that that artifacting has just been outright replaced, I'm starting to suspect this is simply a bug.
Things I *have* tried:
Setting integrated GPU to performance to make sure it's using the correct card
Using F4 menu to make it go away (this sometimes works, sometimes does not)
Verifying game cache on Steam
Deleting and redownloading game files
Running game in compatibility mode and as administrator
Turning off all firewalls/antivirus
PC restart
Things I have *not* tried:
Different PC but same game files
I attached a couple screenshots of the permanent stuff, I can't guarantee screenshots of the bubbles that happen on animations, but I'll see what I can do.
I'm not entirely sure how to reproduce it. It just pops up out of nowhere. I can get random blue bubbles that show up when dupes try to break or create things, but it's always gone when the animation is done. It can also just show up when a dupe levels up an attribute or gains a skill point. It's pretty much random from what I can tell, but they usually pop up about once every couple minutes, and sometimes this happens and it sticks around, forcing a full game restart. Other times, it'll simply go away by going into the resource overlay, and then exiting it.
