Algae Terrariums stop consuming Carbon Dioxide

I've noticed that after awhile, I have Algae Terrariums submerged in Carbon Dioxide pits that eventually (after a couple of cycles) stop consuming the Carbon Dioxide.  Selecting the Terrarium doesn't show it interacting with Carbon Dioxide (as if it wasn't in the gas), and Carbon Dioxide does not diminish in the area.  Saving and reloading the game fixes the issue, as does deconstructing and rebuilding the terrarium.

Steps to Reproduce
This seems to happen frequently for me. 1- Build Algae Terrariums in CO2-rich areas (such as the CO2 pits that develop). 2- Check back on the terrariums after about 5 cycles or so, and make sure they're watered and supplied with algae. 3- I will frequently find the Algae Terrariums have stopped consuming CO2. 4- Saving and reloading the file "reboots" the terrariums, and they begin consuming CO2 again.
