I've played Sal's campaign roughly 5 times, getting as far as the final boss ( and dying of course, because it's an awesome boss ) and have never encountered the Mettle Vendor or earned any Mettle. Judging by my plays on PC and what I've read, this should have occurred at some point during one of these play throughs.
Steps to Reproduce
Simply doing standard play throughs with Sal, on Level 1 of the difficulty.
