Game won't start with "invalid window" error message

The game won't launch. I get an error reading "Invalid window" in a pop-up titled "SDL CreateWindow Error". I've verified the game client on Epic Game Store, my OS is up to date with current video drivers and so on.

Steps to Reproduce
  1. Open the Epic Game Store.
  2. Launch Griftlands.
Go to bugs
