Dont starve not launching

So I know a lot of people have had this issue with dont starve through steam and ive been trying everything everyone has posted about it. Basically it takes about an hour to load to the start screen and then an other hour to get into game....wtf. And if i use my computer while it is loading it will say the game isnt responding or it will crash. I verified integrity of game cache, tried launching as admin, tried running it in compatibility mode for windows 7 and xp. ive reinstalled multiple times but nothing works. I dont have an nvidia card so i couldnt do that fix for it either. ive updated all my drivers and legit have no idea why it isnt working. it was running just fine 2 days ago
