So I started a new world and set the day cycle to "long day" in the world options. Day 8 in the game and I died and when i pressed retry, the next world no longer had the "long day".
Steps to Reproduce
Create a new world and change the day cycle to "Long day" in the world menu then die in your save file and press retry. After that the "Long day" world option will no longer be active.
