My Shanty was struck by lightning. I immediately entered it to see if I could save my stuff. I grabbed an item and then exited the house. I appeared in a different pig village - on a different "island" that I had yet to explore.
I was playing as Wickerbottom. It was around day 14.

Stand next to your shanty when it is storming out, when it is struck by lightning, enter the shanty immediately. Stay for a little bit. Exit the house. See where you are now.
