Both tar and the kraken_inpatch's slowdown effect are very "laggy".
Especially kraken_inpatch, the update task just isnt enough to handle the changing radius and boats increased speed
The best way to solve this would be how dst handles antilion sinkholes.
Have a slow update that finds entities in a wide radius.
Have a component on the target that gets activated by the update and manually checks the slow down adding it or removing it when needed
Allowing for a seamless slowdown effect
Another thing to mention is that tar updates even when unloaded... which is pretty bad....
spawn a kraken_inkpatch
notice the slowdown is very laggy/choppy on a boat
spawn tar
use speed items and notice it has the same issue as krkane_inkpatch
