Game flashes desktop for a second than returns to game. Crashes if I happen to click at that moment.

Randomly during playing, I've never noticed a pattern to how it happens or why. It has happened to me on multiple devices and to another person I play with as well. 

Most often I'd be clicking with the LMB on something and the game would basically alt-tab to the desktop for a split-second and then go back into the game. Depending on whether I clicked the LMB during that split second, or before/after the flicker, the game would sometimes freeze for a moment and than continue and at other times it would just close the game entirely with no warning or crash report or anything.

It's often very random. I play a session for half an hour or so without any problems and than it randomly appears and doesn't happen again for either another longer period or it can happen right after once again...

Not sure if it's relevant information, but sometimes the game would be saved at the exact moment of closing while other times it would revert me to a save a few minutes before it happens. It also actually happens in both Don't Starve and DST... Doesn't happen with other games. All of my drivers are up to date as well.

EDIT: Noticed something while playing again. It often happens when another program is open in the background and very often when the game starts saving.
