Don't Starve Shipwrecked Nintendo Switch - Fish Farm just offshore summons Crocodog every two fish harvested

Every time I harvest two fish from my fish farms Directly next to shore, a crocodog is summoned. I'm a competent player, I can kill one crocodog, but is this really what the fish farm is supposed to do in shallow water? Every Two Fish? Really? C'mon guys. Is the fish farm also supposed to farm Crocodogs? 

Steps to Reproduce

Build a fish farm, stock with roe, harvest two fish. Crocodog summoned. 

Go to bugs

They spawn at a 20% chance per harvest, you're just being unlucky. Build ballphin palaces to defend your fish farm.
