I was hatching a tallbird egg which showed as red (too much heat). I wanted to pick it up and move it further from the fire but it died just as I wanted to pick it up, dropping a cooked morsel and goop. Then I realized I also had the egg in my inventory from apparently picking it up on the same frame. As I then tried to put it down again it crashed the game.
Steps to Reproduce
1. Get tallbird egg
2. Light campfire
3. Put tallbird egg close to the fire so it has too much heat
4. Pick up egg just as it "dies" and drops goop
5. Verify you also have it in the inventory from picking it up
6. Place it down from your inventory
The game should now crash.
