Bug found in reign of giants
Inconsistent bug where entering the caves from the surface skips through season time while keeping your current day count.
Example:
Entering the caves on day 15 of autumn, spending less than a day in the caves and coming back to the surface on day 7 of winter. Days survived still counts as normal, just the seasons progress unnaturally. This might occur when coming back up to the surface, or when going down. I did not notice until I was on the surface again.
I'm unsure if it is a thing with newly opened caves or just any previously visited cave. I'm also unsure if it has any other outlying factor included in the bug, as it doesn't consistently happen, so steps to reproduce may not work every time.
However, the steps are simple with just:
- enter the caves in ROG and note down what time in the year you're entering the caves (might rely on new world, or newly opened cave. may not rely on such.)
- spend maybe a minute or such down in the caves
- travel back up to the surface
If the bug occurred, your season will be skipped through.
