!!ballphins don't spawn!!

In don't starve: shipwrecked, nintendo switch edition, ballphins simply don't spawn. 

there is their palaces, but they're empty. no light during night, no ballphins around. One thing appears if you exit the game and go back, but that's it, no more. When I played pocket edition, it was different, there were a lot of them. 

In the open ocean, they are never present either. 

I am defenseless against crocodogs thanks to this 🥲
