Xbox One controller does not work on macOS 13

The controller works perfectly in Steam itself or in other games. It used to work with DST some time ago, but not anymore...

Hardware: Macbook with Apple M1 Pro

macOS version: 13.2.1

Steps to Reproduce

I run the game from Big Picture Mode using the controller.

I've been having the same exact issue for 2 years now. My xbox controller works on steam and for other games but not in DST. I have not been able to play.
