Xbox controller is not registering or working with DST on Steam on MacOS (Tahoe 26.3).
This controller is registering with Steam and other games (eg. Stardew Valley). But in DST it is as if a controller is not connected. The option to select controller in the Options is greyed out and clicking any controller buttons does nothing.
I have tried using Big Picture Mode. I have tried starting the game both before and after controller is on/connected. I have tried enabling Steam Input override and also disabling to allow in-game control layout.
Pair Xbox controller to Macbook. Observe that it is connected by a 'controller connected' pop-up.
Open Steam. Observe that controller is connected and recognised by Steam.
Run Don't Starve Together. Observe that controller-style menus do not replace the keyboard/mouse buttons. Click controller buttons and observe no effect.
Go to Options (using mouse) and observe that 'input' is limited to Keyboard/Mouse with no option to select a controller.
(Can repeat the above within Big Picture mode for same effect. Can repeat the above waiting until game is running before turning controller on for same effect. Note that when doing the same on a windows PC, the menu buttons switch to xbox style button prompts as soon as a controller connects).
