I managed to make Wormwood's Fleshy Bulb craft result in nothing while using a skin. I've attached a video showing it in action.
The inventory needs full. (Held/Body/Head slots don't count. If wearing a Backpack it needs to be full).
There's enough Leafy Meat/Compost Wraps in the inventory for there to be some left over after the craft. (Otherwise it will be created and replace the inventory slot of the item used to craft it as normal).
You need to be holding a Fleshy Bulb in the cursor slot. (Any other slot won't work and it will be crafted as normal).
The Fleshy Bulb crafted needs to be a different skin than what is in the cursor slot. (If a Plantera bulb is held a normal one needs to be crafted, vice versa. I tested this it works both ways.)

A developer has marked this issue as fixed. This means that the issue has been addressed in the current development build and will likely be in the next update.
