If you equip a hat as Wormwood, he can no longer can fertilize himself and therefore can't regain health. He starts the animation of reaching into his pocket, freezes, then goes back to his idle animation without his health increasing or consuming the item.
Removing the hat does not fix the bug , neither checking the integrity of the files nor reconnecting to the server fixes this bug. The only way I have been able to reverse this is creating a new world or joining a world where Wormwood has not equipped a hat yet.
- Start a new world and select Wormwood as your character.
- Gather items: poop/rot and a hat. I used Bee Keeper Hat and Gardening Hat but any hat seems to work.
- Take some damage. If you use the healing items at this point, it should still heal Wormwood.
- Equip the hat. If you attempt to heal at this point, it should fail. He should do an animation to reach for it, but freezes before applying it to himself.
