Wormhole Pause Softlock

When you pause the game while going through a wormhole, the game will show only black, and be unresponsive. This is fixed by shutting the game down. 

Steps to Reproduce

Jump through a wormhole

Press the pause hotkey when the screen turns black

Get softlocked

Additionally, this can happen if you pause when using Wanda's backtrek watch underground (don't remember it happening on the surface though). I often pause when I load between shards and then can accidentally do it when teleporting back from the ruins or whatever to my cave base. Same idea, black screen, inventory and hud are not visible, and the only solution is to restart the game.
