Holding a heavy object will disable the ability to Activate the dark vestige, instead only being able to "Closely Examine" them.
This greatly reduces its effectiveness as you cannot use it to transport these items with Wormholes or Slimy pits, while making crossing short gaps less intuitive.
Riding a beefalo will cause the "Examine" prompt instead of "Closely Examine"
attempting these prompts will do nothing

Select Shadowseeker 1/2 in her skill tree
Equip Rose Glasses and any heavy object
Summon a Vestige on any valid object
Attempt to activate the Vestige
Equip Rose Glasses and ride a beefalo hover cursor over a viable bridge location
prompt will show "Examine"
attempting to "Examine" will do nothing
