wilsons crafting causes massive lag

I switched to wilson on my solo world to transmute some items
when i open the crafting menu everything is fine
but when i start crafting item recipes it seems there is a massive drop in FPS
i use the steam FPS counter but the game is noticeably very laggy regardless

both transmute recipes and normal recipes like bucket of poop cause this lag spike
and its more intense when using the vanilla repeat craft feature

my FPS is almost always at 60 if i don't do something crazy to intentionally strain the game
with this bug i went down to 20 FPS

this doesn't happen to me with any other character
