Wickerbottom disappearing after reading a book

When i try and read a book as Wickerbottom (havent tried reading her books as a different character) she disappears, the game still continues to run, and if im hosting a server the others are unaffected. when she is gone i cannot move or interact with anything. I dont think there is anything i can do to reappear. I believe it happens with all her books, though havent gone through and tested each one, since it would take a long time due to having to completely reset the game everytime. I still have this issue if i have no client side mods enabled, i do have server mods, but none touch anything to do with her books and i have run those mods before with no issue with her. (the mods are health-bar mods and map-sharing mods, no changes to gameplay mechanics, purely quality of life). Game does not physically crash, i have to manually close the game.

Audio works, had to remove from video due to being in a discord call, as well as edited out members of the call.
