when going into caves, i have completely different items and stats

This is a network issue as I can tell.

any ideas on how to fix it?

alright i fixed the issue, i duplicated the world and made it a local save and that fixed it. before it was a steam cloud save

This could be cause by any number of issues but this happens when the network deserialization does not work. Do you still have a copy of your old world that did not work for us to take a look at?
