Wendy's Abigail and Webber's befriended Spiderlings fight each other

I often do coop with some friends but whenever I go as webber and a friend goes as abigail, its difficult to work together whenever I befriend a herd of spiders (with a decorated den) since they always end up attacking abigail and abigai easily demolishes them, becoming a complete waste of monster meat. I'm not sure if this is intentional but its very bothersome to play these two together.
