Vanilla Game Losing Connection

Just started playing today with a friend, and we had no issues other than not knowing what the hell we're doing.  Then I started to get disconnected repeatedly around day 7.  The first instance was while sleeping in-game.  We play many other games together with no connection issues, but DST is not playable at the moment because of the disconnects.  We're both using very fast internet with direct connections, and already checked for issues.  I'm assuming this is a bug, and not sure if anyone else is having issues.
