Upon switching to WX through the portal, into a world that you already had extra chassis in it, the game doesn't recognize WX's chassis built before as switchable, at least IN THE SURFACE and only until you perform your firs manual/physical/touching switch between chassis and then after that the game recognize them as remotely switchable.
This issue doesn't seem to happen in the caves where you can remotely switch between all chassis made previously (before switching back to WX through the portal).
Step 1: As WX, having the skill to switch between chassis, have an extra chassis on the surface (you can also build in the caves to see that the problem is only in the surface).
Step 2: Switch to another survivor (in my case I switched to Winona) through the portal.
Step 3: Grab another Moon Rock Idol and then switch back again to WX, still having the same previous skills that allow switching between chassis.
Step 4, conclusion: Notice that you'll won't be able to switch between your old chassis on the surface, but if you enter the caves, the extra chassis is switchable to.
