When I have mutated terms following me, and I can dismiss them by going into the caves and when I come back out of the caves, the mutated merms have turned back into regular merms, are no longer loyal, and start walking back toward their houses. This is all desired behavior. However, once the merms become unloaded, they stay where they are and don't teleport back to their houses. Additionally, if there is water in the straight path between the merms and their houses, they get caught on on the coast and never make it back home. This is similar to the behavior of all merms before the April 2022 merm tweak "Abandoned Merm followers will now return home after some time."
1. Play as lunar aligned wurt
2. Hire merms
3. use the mudslinger to mutate them
4. go into the caves using a sinkhole far from the merm houses
5. come back out of the caves
6. walk away from the merms
7. go to the merm's houses
8. BUG: The merms aren't home
9. Go back to the cave entrance
10. walk in the general direction of the merm houses
11. BUG: merms are still there
12. follow the merms as they walk home, but encounter ocean
13. BUG: merms are stuck on the coast.
