Tingle node lets hounds pass through

There is something I don't understand about how tingle nodes work, I thought they were supposed to always block everything except giants. It's the second time I'm building a hound defense zone with catapults inside and they just go through and attack my catapults. I built two of them near some water and I'm wondering if hounds coming after swimming sometimes creates any wetness/electric reaction that I'm not aware of?

This one was my first attempt but I ended up removing to try again elsewhere, I suspected the docks to be the cause.

This is the second one I just used for the first time and as you can see from the loot inside, they passed through.

Here is a list of all mods I'm using:

Server mods:

  • Epic Healthbar
  • Triple MacTusk

Client mods:

  • ActionQueue RB3
  • Advanced Warning
  • Alpha Above-Average Tree
  • Bone Armor Cooldown
  • Boss Indicators
  • Camera Tweaks
  • Character Indicators
  • Color Adjustments
  • Coloured Percent
  • Combined Status
  • Craft Pot
  • Crockpot Repeater
  • Geometric Placement
  • Gesture Wheel
  • Gridless Map
  • Hotkey of liolok
  • Idea Testing
  • Instantly Insights
  • Last Use Protector
  • Place Statues
  • Range Indicator
  • Rotate Character Model
  • Shiny Loot
  • Show cooldown time
  • Snapping Tills
  • Status Announcements
  • TeleArchitect
  • Wanda Keybins

I just realized that's a lot of mods :D, though I'm not expecting any of these to interact with the tingle node behaviour.

I'm not sure if it could be related but I experienced some "crashes" on my game recently, not the game crashing but the server stopping and rolling me back to the previous day when I start it over, I was playing around with some mods, trying new ones, etc a few days ago.

Cheers

Steps to Reproduce
  1. Build an enclosed tingle node area with catapults and a generator inside
  2. Activate all nodes
  3. Wait for a hound attack, stay inside the area
  4. See some hounds passing through the electric fence

User Feedback

Developers have stated before that mobs can push themselves through the tingle nodes if it is crowded enough, and that is intentional.

Is this similar to your case, or different?

In my case the hound attack waves are rather small since I play alone, Varglet plus a few hounds I would say never more than 8 or 10.
