The mod download issue has not been resolved since October. The problem is that the steamclient.so file has not been updated.
Steps to Reproduce
The dedicated server is unable to download mods from the Steam Workshop. Replacing the steamclient.so file in the steamcmd/linux64 folder with the one in the dedicated/bin64/lib64 folder solves the issue. If using the 32-bit version, replace the 32-bit file instead. This solution is applicable to Linux. Additionally, the same issue exists on the Windows platform for the dedicated server. I hope the developers will address this issue in the next game update.
A developer has marked this issue as fixed. This means that the issue has been addressed in the current development build and will likely be in the next update.
