the same collected food cannot go into Wilson's beard when there is a same item in his beard

Known Issue

for example, when you stash petals in his beard and pick up another petal, the petal will still go into a new inventory slot on your body or your backpack, but not into his beard;

and when all your inventory slots are occupied, the petals you picked up cannot be stored even if his beard has an empty slot.

you can only put the petals into his beard by clicking with your mouse.

i do not know if this is a feature or a bug, but it's not so convinient.

Steps to Reproduce

have food stashed in his beard, but not stacked to the biggest amount
pick up another food, same with what you stashed in his beard
the food cannot be stacked into the one that was already in his beard but instead go into a new slot in your body or backpack
