The problem with Wagstaff and WARBOT appearing in the arena

not sure if this is your exact issue, but if the goal is to respawn and re-fight warbot, here are the steps:
you need to have the 6 captured gestalts in your inventory to start the fight + an extra phasmo-encapsulator. When you put one in your hand to place it, you'll see an outline on the ground around warbot indicating where to place the captured gestalts, which will summon celestial revenant. use your 7th phasmo-encapsulator to capture celestial revenant and give it to warbot.

Wow, that's really true. Apparently this is a new feature I didn't know about... But I could not place them for some reason, I decided to reinstall the game and only after that I was able to place these items. Thank you very much for the information.
