If you have low sanity while fighting the Eye of Terror, you can unleash Nightmares on the boss.

P.S.: I just had a glitch with the music in the game.

It's intentional, nightmares change agro onto the Eye of Terror due to the damage they received and the Eye of Terror hits everything that makes contact with him, as comparison you could take the nightmares and the gestalts for the agro change.

I don't think it's intentional, because bosses don't attack Nightmares. And the comparison about Gestalts is because they're enemies, as is done in the game's lore.

Yeah, but the thing is that the boss is not intentionally attacking the nightmares; instead, it is attacking everything that it comes across. So yeah, it is still intentional and my point of changing agro once damaged still stands.

And the Gestalt example was only to show the change of agro, maybe I could have used a more clear example but still...

Since if you are being chased by a nightmare and a gestalt attacks it, the nightmare will change its focus onto the gestalt and forget about you.
