The directional pad on controllers stop registering correctly randomly

let it be known that on this day i Sy Tarn have discovered the cause of the controller bug and the directionals not working.
it started when i noticed it had something to do with the scrap book through the menu. all i knew at first was that the scrap book WAS the cause!

so just now i decided to mess with it to find out if i could figure something out. and i had noticed i hadn't pressed x yet in the scrapbook and i didnt have the bug. then i went back in and eureka pressing X whilst in the scrapbook caused the bug. as i thought about it i realized when i first used the controller and decided to change controls around i had created a happy accident. i had created a conflict between buttons in the mini games and trade in. the conflict was Y i believe it was used twice in the trade in. and then it hit me.

when you press X (or whatever you have it set to) in the scrapbook. it "conflicts" with the crafting menu and i would think it does that bc u are both in the menu & still in game in a sense and it thinks the crafting menu is OPEN!!! when its not. which is why you can only NOT use the directionals in ur inventory.

thats when i discovered you simply have to open the crafting menu with X and closing it again & i was able to use the directionals again just fine.

edit ~ the bindings dont matter it is simply changing the catagory in the scrapbook that does it. i imagine it still conflicts like its the old setting since the mechanics of the ui rely on changing whats binded where in the UI. so even though the bindings MIGHT be different. it still thinks ur opening the crafting menu since there might bc something about the UI in the scrapbook
