Steam Deck and Beefalo Bell

Using the Beefalo Bell to bond a Beefalo and entering the name of the new Beefalo disables the controls of the Steam Deck.  Resetting the game fixes this issue but it happens all the time when entering text.

Steps to Reproduce

Name a Beefalo using the Beefalo Bell. 

Steam Deck controls will no longer work.

Go to bugs

try hitting the STEAM and X button, this will bring up the keyboard, type the beefalo name and hit enter. After that, you should be good to go! (unless that wasn't the issue, sorry...)
