Both Catcoons and Grass Geckos are unable to sleep while it's raining, or will wake up, even if they're protected by Umbralla domes.
The Hollow Stump can't spawn Catcoons if it's raining, and Catcoons will go back to them a few seconds after rain starts, in either case, Umbralla domes aren't accounted for.
It's also possible to set the Hollow Stump on fire and put it out, as the Catcoon was trying to go back into it due to rain, and this will cause them to not attempt this until it starts raining again (or their inventory is full).
For sleep and wakeup tests:
- While it's raining, try dropping and activating an umbralla near a group of grass geckos or a catcoon that's following you.
- Observe that they'll never go to sleep even while inside the dome and protected from the rain. Wake up tests are even more specific to test on the fly, but it's as you'd expect. Have it be raining while they're sleeping and notice how they'll wake up due to rain, even if inside a dome.
For the hollow stump and cat coons going back inside even while protected, it's similar to step 1 above, but make sure the catcoon isn't following you. The same thing applies to the stump not being able to spawn catcoons even under a dome.
For the hollow stump being set on fire preventing a catcoon from going back in, even after extinguished:
- Follow the step above this one.
- When the catcoon starts to go home, set the stump on fire.
- Wait until the catcoon stops due to this, and then extinguish the fire.
- Observe how the catcoon won't go back inside even if it's raining.
A developer has marked this issue as fixed. This means that the issue has been addressed in the current development build and will likely be in the next update.
