I guess it results from the misuse of KillThrall() in components\shadowthrallmanager.lua
Steps to Reproduce
-- in cave
require("debugcommands") d_shadowrift() c_gonext("fissure")
-- wait a second to spawn shadow thralls
-- shut down the server and resume to see shadow thralls replaced by the loot
