Shadow Wx-78 can't eat shadowfuel while riding Beefalo

(I don't really know how this report forum stuff works but because my other two were picked up quick and this one hasn't yet, I thought I'd add some context. This can be pretty impactful! if you get circuit drain due to rain while riding a beefalo; you can't re-activate circuits to bring back vision or temperature control etc. I discovered this bug when I was fighting a boss then suddenly lost my nightvision and died because I was relying on being able to consume shadowfuel for emergency light.
