Problem with launching the game on Steam.

I contacted Klei support by mail and was directed here. I've been having trouble getting Don't Starve Together to run for a while now (btw. Don't Starve also has a problem). When trying to start up, everything looks as if the game is about to start, but suddenly stops. I've tried all kinds of repair methods including exceptions in Antivirus (I use AVG), settings for Nvidia graphics card, validating steam files, running as administrator, etc.

All mods have been removed from both the Steam workshop and local documents. I have reinstalled the game many times.

Steps to Reproduce

I launched the Steam platform and tried to run Don't Starve Toghether the 64-bit version as an administrator (I determined this in the details of the game's exe file).

The 32-bit version does not work properly either.

Some time ago I changed my PC. I am posting the DXDiag record along with the log.

Note, unfortunately part of the message transcript is in Polish because I am from that country!)

Can you be more granular on what this looks like?  Are you getting a dialog?  Does the game just close?

I have the same issue.

To be more specific about what happen, if i launch the game in Steam, it seems to launch ("launching" aside with the game's name in the list of games on the left in Steam). Then it quickly change to "Launched" and half a second to "100%", then everything disappear and it come back like nothing happen.

If i try to launch with the desktop icon, it opens shortly a little Steam window (which could allow me to open Steam if I want), it says that the game is launching, then it closes after 2 second and that's it.

Very annoying.

I use the Steam platform, after pressing the "Play" button, the game starts for 1-2 seconds (the game process is created in the background, it is visible in the windows task manager). However, after the time expires, the game shuts down abruptly. I recently investigated the game's error logs more deeply and got to the log:

P1: dontstarve_steam_x64.exe

P2: 0.0.0.0

P3: 65a07fec

P4: MSVCR90.dll

The problem is 99% caused by the MSVCR90.dll file. I have uninstalled many times the Visual C++ Redistributable extensions in windows, however this did not help. This file is backlogged on my PC and is still impossible to remove from disk. I would have to directly tamper with the system which, it seems to me, is dangerous.

I am posting the log from eventvwr.msc that occurs when I try to start the game:

(Since the original log was written in Polish, I translated it into English).
