Player Indicators Not Disappearing

Every time I host a multiplayer world, the Player Indicators (The little player head/circle icons that tell you when someone is close on either side) will not disappear. I've reinstalled my entire game, undownloaded every mod, cycled through every setting I can find, and the issue persists. Without mods, the image will get smaller and nearly invisibly transparent- but not go away.
I attempted to override with the Global Positions mod as it has a function to entirely remove them, but that just made the issue worse; Then they persist with their normal size and color tones no matter how close or far you are.

It's a bit annoying to be halfway across the map from someone and still see their little icon gliding back and forth or hovering in the corner- especially with multiple players, hahah! I would appreciate some help, not sure what to do.
