when the pilot and beacon are placed on land it will always face the same direction regardless of the beacon's position
this isn't really a bug, but I can't imagine that its intended. I wonder if it could be changed to calculate the direction better to allow for usages on land in decoration

place beacon and nautopilot on land next to each other
pair the nautopilot
the nautopilot always faces the same direction
