Morsels spawned in knocked over traps

I was playing Don't Starve Together a few days ago.

I was standing next to my fire pit at night organizing some items.

I had previously set three traps on the ground very close by, since I hadn't gotten around to gathering the logs to make another chest so that they didn't have to sit on the ground.  A moleworm approached me from a nearby burrow and set off all three traps in short succession by burrowing under each of them, causing them to fall over and expend some of their durability.

I let the traps stay that way for several day/night cycles.  I'm unsure of how many exactly, but I was busy with other things so I left them there.

Eventually, a 100% freshness morsel spawned under each of the knocked over traps, even though they were still knocked over and I had not touched them since they were originally triggered by the moleworm.
