Microsoft app needed on launch?

Since the latest update, I am getting the following Windows popup every time I launch DST (via Steam on Windows 10).

"You'll need a new app to open this ms-gamingoverlay link"

I just ignore it and go on to the game, but it is annoying. Fix?

Steps to Reproduce

This Windows popup appears every time upon launch since latest update. I am able to dismiss it and continue on to the game. The game runs without any problem, and the Steam overlay using Shift-Tab seems to work.

This is related to Microsoft's Game Bar utility. From a brief search it can be related to a system update waiting to be installed on your operating system, a broken Microsoft Store state, or even other third party programs that hook into the process such as Discord.
