It has happened multiple times to me lately, I play most of my time in the caves. I have 2 tapestries, one on forest instance and one in cave instance. I often let other king die if I don't need him because it is so annoying to feed them constantly, even with the new Wurt talents it makes no difference. When the king at the surface world dies of starvation I lose ALL flags in caves on merm fortifications and all surviving merm warriors get instantly downgraded, and I lose the bonus of having a king, all stats(sometimes stats remain, like in the pic provided I got lucky and I kept my own stats). Is the merm king in the caves still alive? YES!
I do not know if this is season specific, I had it happen to me so many times lately that I am sure every season allowed said event to happen.
Just in case some people get lost in the words, the cave merm king is alive, a king in a different instance dies affecting the opposite instance and completely nullifying the existence of said instance's merm king.
If i go feed a merm back to being a king in the surface world, it gives all the bonuses back in the CAVES. Should not be happening, or what is even the point of the merm king in the caves?
Play the wildly unpopular character Wurt, have both kings alive in surface/caves, have merm fortifications in both instances to see the effect. Let surface merm king die while you are in the caves, and maintain life of cave merm king.
I don't know how to better illustrate this bug then to have a dying cave king with his speech of being at low hunger and dying while the other one at surface is dead, with the "NO FLAG" merm fortification under the cursor to best indicate the issue. Excuse the mess on the floor
